Terms of Service

Effective date: 27 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GenAuthority (the "Service"), an AI-visibility intelligence platform ("GenAuthority", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Service, clicking "Create account", or subscribing to a paid plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organisation.

2. Description of the Service

GenAuthority is a software-as-a-service platform that scans and reports on how brands appear across AI answer engines and search experiences — including, among others, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google Gemini and AI Overviews, Anthropic's Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek. The Service measures share-of-voice, citations, competitor mentions, sentiment, and related signals, and generates recommendations and tasks intended to help you understand and improve your visibility.

The Service is multi-tenant. An account (a "tenant", typically an agency) may manage multiple client "brands", and users within a tenant may hold different roles (for example owner, admin, analyst, or client-view) with different permissions. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@genauthority.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • The tenant owner is responsible for the users they invite, the roles they assign, and the brands and data added to their workspace.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Uses

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:

  • use the Service in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • upload or track brands, competitors, prompts, or content that you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, infringing, or defamatory;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying models of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted for managing your own client brands within your tenant;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent any rate limits, usage limits, or security measures;
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or to send spam, malware, or other harmful content.

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

Paid features of the Service are offered on a subscription basis. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; by subscribing you also agree to that provider's applicable terms. We do not store your full card details.

  • Plans & fees. The features, usage limits, and price of each plan are described at the point of purchase. Fees are stated exclusive of taxes unless otherwise noted; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
  • Billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) according to the plan you select.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current rate, unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your payment method on each renewal.
  • Price changes. We may change plan pricing on a go-forward basis. We will give reasonable prior notice, and changes take effect at your next renewal.
  • Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may retry, and we may suspend or downgrade access to paid features until payment is received.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@genauthority.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew.

Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or downgrades.

7. Customer Data & Ownership

"Customer Data" means the brand information, tracked prompts and keywords, competitor names, connected-account data, and other content you or your users add to the Service, together with the scan results, citations, and recommendations generated for your brands.

You own your Customer Data. We do not claim ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, transmit, process, and display your Customer Data, and to share it with the sub-processors described in our Privacy Policy, solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Service and providing it to you. We may use aggregated and de-identified data that does not identify you or your brands to operate and improve the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of your Customer Data and for having the necessary rights to provide it to us.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, user interface, logos, trademarks, and all related intellectual property, is owned by GenAuthority and its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service during your subscription. Except for the rights expressly granted here, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Third-Party Services & AI-Generated Output

The Service relies on third-party providers — including AI and data providers such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and DataForSEO — to run visibility scans and produce results. We do not control those providers, their models, or their outputs, and their availability and results may change without notice.

Scores, share-of-voice figures, citations, sentiment, recommendations, and tasks produced by the Service are informational only and are generated in part by third-party AI systems. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent between runs. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, visibility, traffic, revenue, or other business outcome, and you are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service. Recommendations are not professional, legal, financial, or marketing advice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that results will be accurate or reliable, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenAuthority and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GenAuthority and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your Customer Data, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time (see Section 6). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete your Customer Data after a reasonable period as described in our Privacy Policy; please export any data you wish to keep before your account closes. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
